At 4vita, our love for herbs, aromatic plants and spices is the legacy that we have been preserving for years in our family. On the lush green, sun-bathed slopes of southern Crete, in our privately-owned crops, 4vita was born to share the well-being we experience close to nature, all the beneficial secrets, flavours and aromas that emerge through our land.
OUR ORGANIC CROPS
At 4vita, our land is our own laboratory, where we apply strictly organic methods of planting and cultivation, without the addition of chemical fertilizers or pesticides. By cultivating more than 12 species of herbs on our farms, we produce more than 600,000 plants a year, which with our daily care and attention, bloom only in the special microclimate of our island.

THE TREASURES OF OUR EARTH
DITTANY, MALOTIRA, SAGE
Dittany, malotira and sage - a combination of our own care and special soil gives birth to our most gifted herbs, the ones that make us proud. Known as the “Cretan mountain tea”, malotira was a favorite morning beverage as well as a medicine of old Cretans. Dittany or erontas (“love”), a rare endemic plant that grows wild only on the mountainsides and gorges of Crete, meets its primordial expression in our crops while sage, the “herb of longevity”, also blooms uniquely. It owes its essential oils and intense aroma to the sun.
